Fun in Sokcho! (속초에서의 즐거운 여행!)
Amelia is from London. Last week, she went to Sokcho with Subin’s family. Here is Amelia’s travel diary.
아멜리아는 런던 출신이에요. 지난주, 그녀는 수빈이네 가족과 함께 속초에 갔어요. 여기는 아멜리아의 여행 일기예요.
Friday, September 5th (9월 5일 금요일)
It was sunny today. Subin’s family and I hiked Seoraksan and saw a very big rock.
오늘은 맑았어요. 수빈이네 가족과 저는 설악산을 등산했고 아주 큰 바위를 봤어요.
It was Heundeulbawi. Subin and I pushed it. The rock shook a little.
그건 흔들바위였어요. 수빈이랑 저는 바위를 밀었어요. 바위가 조금 흔들렸어요.
It was scary, but I had a lot of fun!
무서웠지만, 정말 재미있었어요!
Next, we went to Sokcho Beach. We put up two tents near the beach.
그다음에 우리는 속초 해수욕장에 갔어요. 해변 근처에 텐트 두 개를 쳤어요.
We had Korean beef for dinner. It was delicious!
저녁으로는 한우를 먹었어요. 정말 맛있었어요!
In our tent, Subin and I heard the waves. We talked and laughed a lot.
텐트 안에서 수빈이랑 저는 파도 소리를 들었어요. 우리는 이야기도 하고 많이 웃었어요.
I really want to see the sunrise tomorrow.
내일 일출을 꼭 보고 싶어요.
Saturday, September 6th (9월 6일 토요일)
We woke up very early. It was dark outside. Subin and I ran to the beach.
우리는 아주 일찍 일어났어요. 밖은 아직 어두웠어요. 수빈이랑 저는 해변으로 달려갔어요.
Slowly, the sky turned red. Subin said, “The sun is rising. Make a wish!”
천천히 하늘이 붉게 변했어요. 수빈이 말했어요. “해가 뜨고 있어. 소원을 빌어!”
I closed my eyes and made a wish.
나는 눈을 감고 소원을 빌었어요.
For lunch, we ate gamjaeon. It was like a pancake. I loved it.
점심으로 우리는 감자전을 먹었어요. 팬케이크 같았어요. 정말 맛있었어요.
After lunch, we visited Sokcho Lighthouse Observatory.
점심 먹고 나서 우리는 속초 등대 전망대를 방문했어요.
We walked up many steep stairs. Our legs were tired.
우리는 가파른 계단을 많이 올라갔어요. 다리가 아팠어요.
But at the top, the view was beautiful. We saw the city, the ocean, and the mountains.
하지만 꼭대기에서 보는 경치는 아름다웠어요. 우리는 도시와 바다, 산을 모두 볼 수 있었어요.
Subin said, “This lighthouse is about 70 years old. It still shines its light for ships at night.”
수빈이 말했어요. “이 등대는 약 70년 되었어. 밤에도 여전히 배들을 위해 불빛을 비춰.”
I said, “Wow, that’s amazing!”
나는 “와, 정말 대단하다!”라고 말했어요.
Every moment of this trip was wonderful. I took many pictures. I will always remember Korea.
이번 여행의 모든 순간이 정말 멋졌어요. 나는 사진을 많이 찍었고, 한국을 항상 기억할 거예요.
